My name is Cooper Seabrook. I'm an artist based in Canada who hopes of landing a job in the art industry. I'm currently most into animation, I love being able to tell a story with moving artwork. I love being able to make a drawing move and come to life. I'm in the process of branching into more skills that will improve my animations, such as storyboarding and character design. The animations here were made using a variety of programs. These include: Toon Boom Harmony 24, Aseprite, and Adobe Animate. My current favourite animation program is Aseprite. I didn't like Adobe Animate much when I had to use it for a class in High-School, but I know how to use it. I'm in the process of learning Toon Boom to be proficient in a professional animation software that isnt Adobe Animate.

This animation was a culmination for a high-school class. I decided I needed a break from planned animations and had to animate in the way I do for fun. No plan, just animating short shots of whatever came to mind or whatever I could make from the moving shapes placed on screen. I enjoyed this process a lot more than other animations I did for class because it allowed me to just have fun with what I was doing without thinking to much. It allowed me to animate various things aswell, instead of focusing on one interest I could animate multiple forms of media and animals I enjoy. There are some shots that are still in progress, being sketchy and unfinished. Ideally I wanted to finish these shots further, but since it took me a while to figure out quite what to do I ran out of time. I also originally planed to have more shots done but again couldn't due to time restraints. Everything was animated in Aseprite.
Cataboic Seed is a personal project. It's inspired by the book series Warrior Cats, but features my own original characters. The story for this animation is very loosely based on my trauma and relationship with someone who hurt me. This project is a mix of animation and still images to reduce the work load that I took on, as I was still in high-school when I made it and didn't have much free time. Catabolic Seed was made using Aseprite.
This animation is whats called a MAP (Multi-Animator Project) part. MAP's are projects hosted and created by fans of something. The coordinator will post a MAP call, and animators can apply for a part. This specific part is for this project. This animation was made using Aseprite.
This is another personal project. This animation is an unfinished because I lost my school supplied Adobe account before I could finish it. It will likely remain unfinished. This animation is directly inspired by my trauma. It features representations of me and the person who hurt me. This animation was made using Adobe Animate.
This is a Toon Boom Harmony practice animation.
